It’s Hatch Chile Season

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]

Stretching north to south along the Rio Grande, you’ll find sunny and arid weather, a small town or two, and world-renowned chiles. Hatch Valley, nurtured by fertile soil and the ideal growing conditions of the New Mexican climate, produces one of our favorite treats: Hatch Chiles. These are one of a kind and exclusively cultivated from this corner of the world. And once you’ve tried them, you’ll never forget their distinctly sweet, spicy, crisp, and smokey taste.

And now, after being kissed by the southwest sun, these famous chiles have made their way to our produce department at Redlands Ranch Market! How to Eat Hatch Chiles:

Hatch chiles are best roasted. While roasting can be done in several ways, we will discuss how you can cook them to perfection in your oven. Simply begin by setting your oven (this can also be done on your BBQ Grill) to 400°F. Put whole chile peppers on a lightly oiled baking sheet and place it in the center of your oven for about 20-30 minutes or until the skin of the peppers is lightly blackened.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]Occasionally flip and rotate each pepper to achieve even roasting. Use these delicious roasted peppers in countless recipes! They pair wonderfully with enchiladas and chicken and of course, make excellent chile. Since it is a short season many of our customers roast and freeze Hatch Chiles in preparation for tamale season just a few short months away. Roasting and freezing Hatch Chiles sure makes it nice when you get the craving for that famous Hatch taste throughout the year![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_row_inner row_type=”row” type=”full_width” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2114″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_border_circle_2″ qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”grid” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css=”.vc_custom_1555530126497{margin-top: 50px !important;}” z_index=””][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”2121″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_border_circle_2″ qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
