You will hear this a lot – “It is important to have a well-balanced diet.” And where they are not wrong, most people don’t talk about why it is important or what a well-balanced diet is. One of the reasons for this is that society regularly changes their ideas of what is healthy for you and what isn’t. Not long ago people were being told not to eat eggs because they raised cholesterol. Not long after that, it was proven that eggs supply good cholesterol. People were then told they could eat egg whites but not the yolk because it was fatty. Now we know that the fat in an egg yolk is a good source of fat. Whole Grains
Legumes
Nuts
Lean Proteins
